With so many people working from home or in different parts of the county or country it's sometimes hard to find a good meeting space. This place is great for meetings where you want to sit comfortably for a while, have the option of having some food and drinks. This is the second time I have been here and it's been great again. You see lots of other people there too either meeting or having lunch or similar.
Always had great food here. Often go for carvery - especially occasions like mother's day etc. Lots of food and though busy never feels rushed. Sometimes use restaurant of an evening and always well looked after and again good food. Usually quieter in the evenings. Staff always friendly and attentive even on busy Sunday carveries.

Paid £59 for twin room for me and my sister on a Friday night as she was doing a sky dive in Salisbury on Sat am, this hotel is great, the buildings been there since the 13th century, so has lovely oak beams and strange corridors leading to the bedrooms, our room no.29 was at the end of the building and had a sloping floor...but this just added to its charm. Great tea/coffee/hot choc facilities including 3 selections of biscuits and shampoo/shower gels/soap and even body lotion is provided. The breakfast is also great, lovely choice and excellent bacon!. All the staff are friendly....from checking in, to the bar staff, and the older lady at breakfast was super friendly. We had a meal at restaurant on the night which was also really nice. This place has a great laidback feel to it which me and my sister really enjoyed. I would've liked to have seen a booklet explaining all about the buildings history. The only downside was there was a disco/karaoke there....which I think they have every weekend, and it was extremely loud, going on from 10pm till 1.30am, even earplugs didn't cut out the sound, having to be up at 6.45am this wasn't the best situation for us and would stop me going there again even though I loved the place so much.....but I would def stay again on a weekday where I could enjoy a good night's sleep
Basic, dated and bloody lovely. The people who work there are welcoming and the rooms are just what they say on the packet. There are flaws but when you're staying in an old building you accept that.
